Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 25, 2026

Have You Rested ("App") is developed by ROLIA GROUP LIMITED ("we", "us"). Your privacy is fundamental to the App's design.

1. Camera data

The App uses the Mac's front-facing camera to detect whether you are looking at the screen, present but looking away, or absent. All processing happens entirely on your device, in memory. No video, images, or biometric data are ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. Frames are analysed and immediately discarded.

2. Data we collect

The App contains no analytics or telemetry. It contacts our server only for the trial, licensing, purchase restore, and optional update functions described below. Specifically:

  • No analytics or telemetry
  • No crash reports sent automatically
  • Network connections go to exactly one host, have-you-rested.rolia.ee. A first launch requests the 5-day Pro trial using a one-way hash of the Mac hardware identifier. License activation and periodic re-validation use the same hash solely to enforce the 2-Mac limit. Restoring a purchase also sends the email address used at purchase. The original hardware identifier, Mac name, camera data, and activity statistics are never sent.
  • An optional update check, off by default, fetches the latest version number and carries no identifiers.
  • No accounts or sign-ups

3. Data stored locally

The App stores your preferences (break intervals, sensitivity, calibration) in macOS UserDefaults and your license token in the macOS Keychain. This data never leaves your Mac.

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Paddle.com, our merchant of record. Paddle collects payment and billing information under their own Privacy Policy. We receive only your email address and license entitlement from Paddle; we do not receive or store payment details.

5. This website

The App contains no analytics; this website does. We use Mixpanel to understand basic usage and attribution: page views, source/referrer, UTM parameters, download clicks, pricing interactions, checkout events, download-link delivery, and completed purchases. Server-side transactional events use a one-way pseudonymous identifier instead of sending your raw email address to Mixpanel. We use the Reddit Pixel, Google Ads conversion tracking, and the OpenAI Ads Measurement Pixel to measure visits, downloads, checkout starts, and purchases attributed to advertising. Google Ads runs with advertising storage, ad-user-data, ad-personalization, and analytics storage denied by default. OpenAI Ads tracking is disabled when your browser sends Do Not Track, and we do not provide customer identifiers through its browser Pixel or Conversions API. These services may receive standard technical details such as browser and OS version, screen size, coarse IP-derived location, and a random browser identifier. Email addresses you enter here go only to our own server or Paddle flow, never to browser advertising pixels. Nothing from the website is linked to camera processing or activity on your Mac. Every feature of this site works with tracking blocked; blocking these scripts is a complete browser-tracking opt-out.

6. Children's privacy

The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The limited licensing data described above is used only to provide the trial, purchase restoration, and license enforcement.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
