Privacy Policy — Android
Last updated October 14, 2026.
This policy covers Have You Rested for Android, developed by ROLIA GROUP LIMITED. The Mac app and website have separate privacy policies.
Camera and break verification
The front camera is activated when you start a practice or scheduled break verification and grant camera permission. Camera frames are processed on your device, in memory, using Google ML Kit to estimate head orientation. Frames are discarded; the app does not record or upload camera images or video.
Head orientation is used to check a 20-second break. The app does not identify you or measure viewing distance. It is a break reminder, not a medical device, and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent medical conditions. Consult a healthcare professional for medical advice.
Progress stored on your phone
Timer state, verified and skipped break counts, companion XP and daily progress are stored in the app’s private local storage. They are not sent to our servers. Mac and Android progress are separate. The app has no user accounts or cloud synchronization. Android cloud backup is disabled for the app.
Clear the app’s storage in Android settings or uninstall it to remove its local progress and settings. Clearing storage cannot be undone.
Pro purchases
Optional Pro purchases use Google Play. The app does not receive your payment card details. A signed purchase record, including the purchase token and order information supplied by Google Play, is stored privately on your phone to check Pro access. It is not sent to our servers.
Restoring purchases checks the Google Play account on your device. It does not restore your local break history or companion progress. Clearing app storage removes the local purchase record, but does not cancel a subscription or delete Google’s purchase records. Manage subscriptions and purchases through Google Play.
Google ML Kit diagnostics
Google’s ML Kit SDK documents collection of device and app information, per-installation identifiers, performance and error information, and feature events for diagnostics and usage analytics. Google Play services may process this telemetry. Removing the app’s internet permission does not block communication with Google Play services.
This diagnostic information is separate from camera images and your break history. See Google’s ML Kit data disclosure and Google’s Privacy Policy for details of Google’s processing. The app contains no third-party advertising SDK.
Notifications and external links
Notification permission is used for the running timer and break reminders. You can change camera and notification permissions in Android settings.
The app includes a promotional link to our Mac app and a link to this policy. These open your browser and do not attach your camera data, progress or a user identifier. Visiting the website is covered by its website privacy policy.
